Main Gear and Doors is that portion of the system which provides the major support for the aircraft while on the ground. Includes items such as shock struts, bogie axles, drag struts, doors, linkages, attach bolts, etc.

The emergency procedures check list should be in concise, abbreviated form designed to remind pilots of items to check without providing details concerning the operation of any system.

The function and operation of each unit in the system should be described as well as the location of the units.

The removal/installation portion shall state clearly the sequence of steps required to remove and reinstall a component or unit, along with precautions to be observed.

"Maintenance Practices" which are a combination of servicing, removal/installation, adjustment/test, inspection/check, cleaning/painting, and approved repairs should follow the Troubleshooting Section.
