The surge tank drain check valve permits fuel in the surge tank to flow to either main tank 1 or main tank 2.

If the lever lock solenoid fails in the locked position, you can move the landing gear control lever to the up position with the lever lock override trigger. The trigger retracts the forward part of the control lever so it clears the lever lock mechanism.

The flow of systems shall be presented in patterned shading and by having a minimum of turns in the lines. The schematic diagrams should include generators, tanks, and reservoirs that are considered to be the starting points of the flow shown.

It is not necessary to add oil to the starter after installation. But, you must supply a new starter with a small quantity of oil. Refer to chapter 12 of the airplane maintenance manual part II for oil quantity requirements and procedures.

The CAP will address primary and secondary airframe components, and primary and secondary systems to accomplish the stated objective of continued airworthiness.

The rules of construction followed in the preparation of this Specification are the same as generally used by the FAA in the preparation of its rules.

If you do not do a regular monitoring of the APU oil consumption, do the steps that follow to make sure that the APU oil quantity is sufficient for the flight.
