The fuel in the surge tank will drain into the main tank when the airplane is at a constant velocity and cruise pitch angle.

The antiskid system controls the metered brake pressure from the hydraulic brake system or the autobrake pressure from the autobrake system to prevent wheel skid. This gives maximum brake force to stop the airplane with any runway condition.

If the lever lock solenoid fails in the locked position, you can move the landing gear control lever to the up position with the lever lock override trigger. The trigger retracts the forward part of the control lever so it clears the lever lock mechanism.

The flow of systems shall be presented in patterned shading and by having a minimum of turns in the lines. The schematic diagrams should include generators, tanks, and reservoirs that are considered to be the starting points of the flow shown.

Each Chapter or Section is to start with a general description of the system and its operation and should be labeled Description and Operation. If there are interrelationships with other systems, they should be explained.

Each manual shall contain an Introduction which shall include a brief statement explaining the organization, content and method of using the manual in addition to lists, or references to locations of lists, of vendor technical publications.

Unless all of the solid contaminants are removed from the air before it enters the instruments, they will accumulate, usually in the rotor bearings, and slow the rotor.

The specification provides flexibility in Handbook preparation based on the complexity of the airplane while maintaining a high degree of standardization of arrangement, definitions, and performance information.

It is not necessary to add oil to the starter after installation. But, you must supply a new starter with a small quantity of oil. Refer to chapter 12 of the airplane maintenance manual part II for oil quantity requirements and procedures.

The CAP will address primary and secondary airframe components, and primary and secondary systems to accomplish the stated objective of continued airworthiness.

The rules of construction followed in the preparation of this Specification are the same as generally used by the FAA in the preparation of its rules.
