Each handbook shall have a log of revisions or effective pages.

In the description of the airplane＇s Ground Control, how the pilot mechanically controls nose wheel or tail wheel shall be described.

In the description of the airplane＇s Flight Instruments, how to check them for proper operation and how to recognize a malfunction shall be explained.

In the description of the airplane＇s Flight Instruments, any new kinds of flight instruments shall be briefly described and principle of operations explained.

In the description of the airplane＇s Instrument Panel, if installed, how the annunciator panel operates shall be explained.

In the description of the airplane＇s Instrument Panel, the instruments, lights, switches and controls found on the panel shall be named and their uses explained.

Generally, in describing the airplane or its system, third person wording should be used. (For example: The nose wheel is provided with a shimmy damper to keep the wheel from shimmying while rolling on the ground.)

This Section of the Pilot＇s Operating Handbook shall describe the airplane in a manner considered by the manufacturer to be most informative to the kind of pilot considered most likely to operate the airplane. The paragraph order and detail in this Section need not be followed in a Handbook.

The equipment list, shall contain all required or optional equipment installed in the particular airplane when delivered.

The manufacturer shall provide an equipment list in this Section, in a separate document appended to the Pilot＇s Operating Handbook, or as a separate document. If the equipment list is not contained in this Section, state its location.

In addition to the weight and balance loading form, the manufacturer may provide a device to be used to calculate weight and balance. Instructions for its use shall be provided.
