Braking system is used to decrease run-down time or stop propeller rotation during engine power-off conditions.

Maximum Landing Gear Extended Speed is the maximum speed at which an aircraft can be safely flown with the landing gear extended.

Data shall be presented as time, fuel and distance to climb from sea level versus altitude on a standard day (ISA).

The speed(s) for which ground roll distances were determined should be higher than the power-off stall speed for the same configuration.

For airplanes certificated after January 1, 1985, regardless of certification basis, the speed(s) at the 50 foot obstacle may not be less than 20% above the power-off stall speed for the same airplane configuration.

Data shall be presented as takeoff distance versus outside air temperature, altitude and wind. Both ground roll and total distance over a 50 foot obstacle shall be included. The speeds required to attain these distances shall be scheduled in IAS.
